The couple's relationship first came to light in May and they have made a string of loved-up outings together ever since.

He revealed that his eldest son Adam, who has Down syndrome, recently visited him from New Zealand.

The presenter also shared that he has taken on a new role as a patron for Inala Disability Services - which provides support to people with disabilities and their families.

'My oldest son Adam was over from New Zealand last week,' he said.

'I'm a patron of Inala Disability Services so I'm doing a lot of work for them.'

Richard took on the new role in April this year from Blanche d’Alpuget - the second wife of former Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke.

Inspired to take on the role by son Adam, Richard said at the time of his appointment that he was 'delighted' to help such a worthy organisation.

'I have witnessed firsthand how it takes a community to raise a child, and especially one with a disability,' he said.

'Adam has to be one of the happiest people on the planet, and that is because of the many, exceptional people he has had in his life.

Richard was 18 years old and working at an abattoir in New Zealand and studying to be a teacher when his then-16-year-old girlfriend gave birth to Adam.

'Adam has been the most wonderful blessing to our family,' the Weekend Today host previously said. 'He forced me to grow up so I'm enormously grateful and indebted to Adam.'

Richard has five children to four different mothers. He welcomed Estella with fashion designer Collette Dinnigan, who reportedly lives in Rome.

He shares Christian with his ex-wife Michelle Burke, while he had his other son Nick and daughters Rebecca and Estella from other previous relationships.

After his split from Michelle, Richard went on to date Nicola Dale but news of their split emerged in January and he has since gone public with Mia.

Shortly after, Richard - who is usually quiet when it comes to his private life - said things between the pair were blissful.

'Life is good. I'm happy. Things are good,' he told Daily Mail Australia.

Daily Mail Australia broke the news of their romance after the Channel Nine star was seen with Mia at his friend Annika Martyn's birthday party.

In a video shared to Instagram by Annika, Richard was seen stepping off a boat hand-in-hand with Mia.

Mia also shared a cryptic post to her Instagram Stories, showing her clinking glasses with a man off camera, which she captioned: 'All you need is love'.
