A 12-year-old boy has been taken into custody under suspicion of committing a sexual assault and indecent exposure. The pre-teen, who cannot be identified for legal purposes, was apprehended by law enforcement in a small Worcestershire town following multiple complaints of indecent exposure.
On December 15, the young boy was detained by West Mercia Police in Malvern, Worcestershire, on suspicion of sexually assaulting a female over the age of 13 and committing indecent exposure. He has been granted bail, with conditions that he can only leave his residence with an authorised adult, attend school, and be accompanied to and from school by a responsible adult, reports the Mirror.
Sergeant Geraint Perkins of the Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Team stated: "We hope yesterday's arrest and the bail conditions offer some reassurance to the community."
"Patrols will continue in the area and anyone who has any concerns is encouraged to approach officers."
