Two women killed in Milton Keynes on Christmas Day have been named for the first time.
Thames Valley Police revealed on December 27 that Joanne Pearson, 38, and Teohna Grant, 24, died at the scene.
Officers rushed to a block of flats in Santa Cruz Avenue, Bletchley, at around 6.36pm on December 25.
A teenage boy and a man, who were injured in the suspected stabbing, were rushed to hospital.
Initial reports added that a dog injured in the incident had also died after being taken to the vets, but it later emerged the animal survived.
On Friday, police charged a 49-year-old man with two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and one count each of possession of a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
Thames Valley Police also said in a statement: "We continue to support the families at this difficult time, and our thoughts are with them. The families would ask for their privacy to be respected at this time."
Flowers have been left in the area, close to the police cordon.
Det Ch Insp Stuart Brangwin, of the major crime unit, previously said: "Firstly I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the families of the women who have tragically died in this shocking incident.
"Members of the public will see a large police presence in the area while our investigation takes place. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to approach our officers and they will do their best to help."
