Piers Morgan announced that he had reunited with Boris Johnson just over five years after the former prime minister had hidden in a fridge to avoid an interview with him.
On Monday, the Uncensored host confirmed the interview on X/Twitter and quipped that Mr Johnson, 60, ran away again.
The journalist, 59, wrote: "UPDATE: Five years after he ran into a fridge to avoid being interviewed by me, @BorisJohnson finally agreed to do one today.. and ended up running away again… drops on @PiersUncensored tonight."
In a teaser for the interview, Mr Johnson, who is currently in Ukraine, addressed the infamous fridge moment before abruptly ending the chat.
He said: "I'm now making amends by giving you the longest interview I've ever given you in a place that is substantially colder than the most domestic fridges. Anyway, take care..."
Uncensored fans rushed to X to react to the news. One wrote: "I can't wait to see what you did to him lol."
Another said: "That's interesting. I wonder what he's so afraid of?"
And a third laughed: "You've never given Boris a break."
Back in December 2019, the former Conservative MP disappeared into a fridge when he was repeatedly approached by Good Morning Britain news correspondent Jonathan Swain.
Swain pressed the then-Prime Minister that he was live on the ITV morning show, and he replied: "I'll be with you in a second," before disappearing into a fridge filled with milk bottles.
Earlier on Monday, Mr Johnson was interviewed by Good Morning Britain hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley, but the interview was abruptly cut short.
Speaking from Kyiv, the former Tory leader claimed the USA and Ukraine are "very close" to signing a minerals deal which could help to secure Kyiv's future.
He said: "I believe that we're very close to getting this minerals agreement signed between the United States and Ukraine, and that commits the US not only to future financing of Ukraine, but also to a free, sovereign and secure Ukraine.
"I think that it's positive for Ukraine - and don't forget, the fundamental loser in all that is going to be Putin, because what Putin wants is Ukraine to be a vassal state of Russia."
After answering another question, the politician confessed: "Anyways, I've got to love you and leave you."
As Madeley attempted to continue the conversation, Mr Johnson removed his earpiece and announced: "I've got to go."
The politician could be seen removing all his equipment and walking out of the shot as Reid said: "Thank you very much indeed for your time this morning. Just disentangling himself from our microphone and off he goes."
