Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were seen sharing cuddles and kisses during the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games in Canada on February 8, in what has been dubbed as a signal to the American president, claims a body language expert.

It comes after a New York Post interview with US President, Donald Trump, who told the outlet he isn't interested in throwing Harry out of the country. Harry's legal battle with his visa erupted after conservative think-tank The Heritage Foundation questioned why the duke was allowed into the US in 2020 following his references to drug consumption in his bombshell memoir, Spare.

"I don’t want to do that," Trump said.

"I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible."

Body language expert Judi James told the Sun: "Her [Meghan's] face-touching sent a strong signal of tender affection and ownership out to the world. When she clasped his head in both of her hands and planted her loving kisses she signalled, 'He's mine and I love him'."

The body language expert continued: "There were also clues that this open adoration and emphatic family vibe could be something of a two-finger salute to Trump, after his blistering comment about Meghan."

Donald Trump yesterday confirmed he would not deport Harry as part of his ongoing legal troubles in relation to a previous application for a US visa.

Harry's case returned to court this week looking into his 2020 visa application, after it was revealed in his biography he had consumed various types of drugs.

The winter edition of the Invictus Games is currently being held in Vancouver, Canada, running from February 8 to 16th. The prince founded the Invictus Games in London in 2014, with this year marking the seventh edition of the competition for military veterans.

At the opening ceremony, Judi said the couple were exhibiting "newlywed behaviours" with frequent arm-clinging and Meghan's head often resting on Harry's shoulder "as though she was on a date night".

The ceremony saw Coldplay take the stage, with frontman Chris Martin playing the Invictus Anthem, which he penned in 2014. Pop star Katy Perry finished the show, performing some of her top hits including chart-topper 'Roar'.

The first edition of the games was held in London in 2014, with other competitions being staged in the US, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands and Germany.

The 2017 games in Toronto was also where Prince Harry was pictured with his then-girlfriend Meghan Markle for the first time. The now supportive wife has joined him at every edition of the competition since.
