Strictly Come Dancing champion Ellie Leach has turned to flogging her old clothes online after confessing: “I’m unemployed.”
The former Coronation Street actress, who played Faye Windass on the ITV soap before going on to lift the BBC’s Glitterball Trophy, has started selling items on Vinted from just £4 a piece.
On offer for fans are a slew of high street dresses and pastel sandals in a UK size 5. Ellie has posed in the frocks herself to advertise them on her page, including a black scrappy number and a hot pink skintight gown.
It comes after the 23-year-old admitted she’s not currently in work, captaining a snap of her friend Hannah using a laptop: “Working lunch (we are booking a holiday). She’s a student and I’m unemployed.”
She went on to advertise her Vinted page, telling fans via Instagram: “Selling some bits on my Vinted if anyone fancied having a look.” Alongside a snap of her taken in a public bathroom, Ellie said: “This picture has no relevance I just looked cute in the Avanti West Coast toilets.”
A green Little Mistress bodycon dress is available for £15, as well as a pair of black Pretty Little Thing heels for £8 – but Ellie is open to offers.
Ellie’s last acting job came to an end in November 2024, when she played Miss Scarlett in a UK touring production of Cluedo 2 – The Next Chapter.
Upon returning to acting after Strictly, she told her fans: “Starting back at work tomorrow after having six weeks off. Feeling so grateful to have had the most amazing summer and grateful to be going back to work, but also feeling anxious too which is completely fine and normal.
“Having time off work is scary, I worry that I won’t remember what to do when I go back but hopefully once I get back in rehearsals the excitement will kick in and the anxiety will slowly go away!"
