Toronto shooting: At least 12 people injured after gunman opens fire at pub

A mass shooting has taken place in the Canadian city of Toronto, with at least 12 people injured. Four of the victim's injuries are non-life threatening, but the conditions of the others are unknown. The suspect was "wearing a black balaclava," according to police. He escaped the scene in a silver vehicle and is still at large. 

The shooting took place in Scarborough, a district of Toronto, at around 10.39pm local time. Olivia Chow, mayor of Toronto, said: "I am deeply troubled to hear reports of a shooting at a pub in Scarborough.I have spoken to (Toronto Police Chief Myron) Demkiw and he has assured me all necessary resources have been deployed. This is an early and ongoing investigation - police will provide further details. My thoughts are with the victims and their families."

Toronto paramedics had said 11 adults suffered injuries ranging from minor to critical, but police later said 12 people were hurt, and that our people had non-life-threatening injuries but the extent of the remaining injuries was still unknown.
