Teddi Mellencamp and her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave have not only 'put everything on hold' with their November divorce filing, they're happily sharing their $6.5M Encino marital home amid her health battle with stage 4 melanoma and multiple brain tumors.
'Yes, I'm in the primary, and he's in one of the guest rooms. It's fun. It's all the things that I loved about our marriage but without all the problems,' the 43-year-old Two Ts in a Podcaster said in her Us Weekly cover story Wednesday.
'We're just trying to be each other's friend right now and be the best parents we can be [for] our kids. I don't think that either of us are going to rekindle our marriage.'
Teddi added: 'He's been extremely kind and helping with the kids. That's made things a lot easier.'
Things had been 'so bad for a while' between Mellencamp and the Skyline Security CEO - who's turning 48 this month - but he 'completely changed' the second she got really sick in February.
'He's been there for me a hundred percent, he's been there for the kids, and we're back to laughing,' the nepo-baby of John Mellencamp explained.

'We call it the "Divorce Chronicles." And I want to talk [to him] about the kind of girls [he's] going to marry… because if these people are going to take care of my kids, this is what I want, and this is the definition of what I don't want.'
Teddi blamed their legal separation after 13 years of marriage on 'not communicating exactly what we needed' without addressing her rumored months-long affair with her horse trainer Simon Schröeder while his wife Karli Postel was pregnant with their second child.
Postel reportedly 'found text messages on Simon's phone that exposed the affair' and they confessed when she confronted them about it.
When asked about how her four children - stepdaughter Bella, 16; daughter Slate, 12; son Cruz, 10; and daughter Dove, 5 - are coping, Mellencamp laughed: 'I'm paying for therapy.'
'I'm not equipped to fully handle this… It is helping because they ask me questions that I probably wouldn't have thought to give them answers to,' the RHOBH guest star admitted.
'They realize when I'm in pain and how massive the surgery was. I don't know that they know the rest. I think they're a bit scared. I'm going to fight really hard. I can't imagine my life without them, so I'm going to do everything I possibly can, no matter how mean it makes me. [Laughs] I can't imagine — does this sound like a narcissist? — I can't imagine any of them living without me.'
On Wednesday, Teddi - who boasts 1.3M social media followers - was tired while recovering from her first day receiving both radiation and immunotherapy following an emergency MRI on March 25 that discovered four additional small brain tumors.
Despite her health crisis and living situation, Mellencamp has managed to casually date two different men through the Hinge dating app.
