Virginia Giuffre's cryptic social media posts in the days before her tragic death by suicide

Proper news from Britain - News from Britain you won’t find anywhere else. Not the tosh the big media force-feed you every day!

Virginia Giuffre shared a series of cryptic social media posts in the weeks leading up to her unexpected suicide.

Giuffre, 41, who was trafficked by the late American pedophile Jeffrey Epstein as a teenager, sparked a social media firestorm in March when she shared a photo of herself 'battered and bruised', claiming she was dying after being hit by a school bus.

On Friday - just weeks after a string of mysterious public posts - her family tragically announced that she had died by suicide in Neergabby, Australia, where she had been living for several years.

In a statement, her family said: 'She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.'

'Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors,' it added.

'Despite all the adversity she faced in her life, she shone so bright. She will be missed beyond measure.'

Concern began on March 30, when Giuffre shared a photograph of herself from her hospital bed covered in bruises, with her left eye nearly swollen shut.

The photograph showed discoloration to her face and chest, which has been described as severe bruising.

Giuffre abruptly returned to social media in April, sharing odd Instagram stories with her 21,000 followers that left many concerned over their confusing contents, including a screenshot of the song, Somebody That I Used To Know, followed by a black screen

In the caption, Giuffre claimed that her car had been hit by a bus at 110km/h and that she was fatally ill due to the accident.

Posted to Instagram overnight, the sex abuse survivor said she had suffered kidney failure from the crash and begged to see her children 'one last time' before she dies.

'I've gone into kidney renal failure, they've given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology,' she captioned the photograph.

'This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won't bore anyone with the details,' it added.

'I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes.

'S**T in one hand and wish in the other & I guarantee it’s still going to be s**t at the end of the day. Thank you all for being the wonderful people of the world and for being a great part of my life. Godbless you all xx Virginia.'

Following the bombshell post, Brad Edwards, a US lawyer who represented Giuffre in her previous legal cases, said it was a 'very bad situation'.

He told MailOnline that they were 'hoping for better news in the coming days' and that he hoped Giuffre would pull through with good medical care.

His update came after Prince Andrew's former girlfriend, socialite Victoria Hervey, called Giuffre a 'fantasist', suggesting she was lying over the extent of the crash.

Lady Victoria, 48, was dubbed 'nasty' and 'vile' by many social media users since she posted Giuffre's selfie in a hospital bed with the word 'Karma' added to it.

But the aristocrat, who briefly dated Prince Andrew in 1999, refused to back down from her brutal Instagram post.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline earlier this month, she said she was continuing to doubt Giuffre's claims that she had been seriously hurt in the crash and had only days to live due to her injuries, including kidney failure.

She said: 'Virginia Giuffre is a fantasist. It's been a long drawn out process these last few years, but it's unravelling. Her lies are being exposed. Let's see in three days, but I bet she will still be alive.'

Victoria spoke out just as Western Australia Police publicly dismissed the severity of Giuffre's collision, describing it as a 'minor' accident that left no one injured.

Two days before the car crash, on March 22, Giuffre posted a sun-dappled picture of her children on a beach, accompanied by an apparent desperate plea to see them.

'My beautiful babies have no clue how much I love them and they're being poisoned with lies,' she posted.

'I miss them so very much. I have been through hell and back in my 41 years but this is incredibly hurting me worse than anything else.

'Hurt me, abuse me but don't take my babies. My heart is shattered and every day that passes my sadness only deepens.'

Then, in April, Giuffre abruptly returned to social media where she shared odd Instagram stories with her 21,000 followers, leaving many concerned due to their confusing contents.

Initially, the 41-year-old shared a YouTube link to the chart-topping break-up song by Australian artist Gotye, Somebody That I Used To Know.

That post was quickly followed by a second story, which had no title, photo or sound.

The mysterious second post, which was just a black screen, was soon made into a 'highlight' on her profile - accompanied by a broken heart emoji as its title.

The suspicious posts came as a shock to many global viewers, with many believing that Giuffre appeared to be living a fairly quiet life with her husband Robert and their three children since 2023.

However, having recently separated after 22 years of marriage, the pair no longer lived together at their lavish $1.9million mansion in a Perth beachside suburb, despite the residence still being Giuffre's last known address.

Giuffre initially found herself catapulted to the center of one of the world's biggest scandals when she launched legal action against billionaire Jeffrey Epstein in 2015.

She alleged she was trafficked for sex at age 16 after his associate and ex-lover, Ghislaine Maxwell recruited her from her job as a locker room attendant at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

Giuffre and Maxwell eventually reached an undisclosed settlement over a defamation case in 2017.

Epstein took his own life in a jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, while Maxwell was jailed for 20 years in 2022 for conspiring with him to sexually abuse minors.

Giuffre alleged Epstein forced her to have sex with Prince Andrew on at least three occasions when she was 17 and that she spent two days alone with the royal in New Mexico.

In 2022, she received an out-of-court settlement reported to be worth millions from the Duke of York, though he has always strongly denied the allegations.

In the wake of the scandal, Andrew lost his military titles and royal patronages as well as the use of His Royal Highness title.

Giuffre's father has previously spoken of his torment knowing he helped his daughter get a job alongside him at the Trump resort, before she was recruited as a masseuse by Maxwell.

'As a parent you kind of ask the question, "How do you not know your children are doing this?",' Mr Roberts said previously.

'But she's a very good actress. When she would come home from these trips she said nothing about it. It must have been killing her inside,' he added.

'But for powerful people like that, they can threaten a young girl like that.'
